Small group sessions are one of the main heartbeats of our events. They provide a great interactive environment for you to experience teaching based on the topics that most interest you. Below is a working list of small group session options for our "Rooted" Events.
STUDENT SESSIONS
Clean is a Dirty Word: Our environment and physical body play an important role in a rooted, meaningful relationship. Our thoughts and actions are linked to our physical environment. It's time we understood how to move past loving God with just our mind and start loving Him with ALL that we are. Then clean will no longer be a "dirty" word but one that roots us in a relationship with our Father.
Family Feud: We all have a family. We didn't get to pick and choose which one we would be in, but God has a plan and purpose for us right where we are. It may be hard through the struggles, drama, divorce, fights, deaths, and chaos that occur in our family, but He can use these circumstances to encourage others. Join us as we find out how God can use our family experiences to grow us, change us, and bring us closer to Jesus.
Gardening 101: In order to grow deep, work must be done. Cultivation, watering, hoeing- so many things must be done in order to stay ‘rooted.' Come find out what's keeping you from growing, or causing you to wilt- be prepared to get your hands dirty!
Music Mania: Coffee shops, cars, shopping malls, restaurants, church and just about anywhere you can think of have one thing in common - MUSIC. It's everywhere! Music influences our lives on a daily basis - how could it not? This small group will focus on the power that music has over our hearts and minds and how it can be a truly beautiful thing.
Pursuing Peace: From catfights to de-friending someone on facebook to ignoring them in the halls, it is entirely too easy to let unforgiveness take over in every part of our lives. But the Bible talks about pursuing peace with everyone around you. Join us as we learn how God can impact the lives of those who sincerely want to pursue peace.
Rooted in Prayer: Back again this conference season by popular demand but with a new twist! Come experience God in a fresh way through our new interactive prayer room. You will not only learn about how to root your life in prayer, you will also have the opportunity to connect to God in prayer using different elements of touch, sound, and smell at different stations around the room. This is a very interactive session with a short teaching on prayer but the rest of the time will be spent experiencing God through prayer.
Radical: Did you know that Jesus played the electric guitar, wore clothes from Abercrombie and Fitch, AND drove a Mustang GTO? As bizarre as that sounds, this is exactly what our culture has done to telling the story of the Good News. We have manipulated the gospel to fit OUR needs. It's easy for us to forget how Jesus and his disciples lived with no money and no place to call home. But honestly, who lives like that now? Who has abandoned everything they have for the gospel of Jesus Christ? Come join us in this session as we teach you how to live a RADICAL life, set apart from the world.
Rooted in Faith for College: Life after graduation can be the most exciting and the most intimidating time of your life. Join us as we share some spiritual survival strategies that will help you face the transition with a strong faith.
True Heart: Emotions, love, passions and confusion - what is your heart trying to tell you? Learn how to listen to God through knowing and understanding your true heart.
MINISTER'S WIVES TRACK
In these sessions, we will meet with other ministers' wives to discuss experiences that are unique to our lives. The sessions are each different, but you are free to attend another sponsor session and then come back and join us at the next one. This is always a time of encouragement and learning as we all listen to the experiences of others and share our experiences.

Along the Road: Students today are walking an unprecedented road paved with technological advances, moral ambiguities, and postmodern philosophies. This generation desperately needs direction, and we have the opportunity to provide that within the context of discipleship relationships. Join us as we discuss ways to join this generation along the road of life so that we might lead them to Christ.
Counseling 101: Ever felt overwhelmed as you strive to minister to girls with an ever-changing array of issues? If you are looking for answers to counseling stumbling blocks or information on today's hot topics, then join us for this session as we face the issues together.
Let's Talk About Sex: The media is constantly bombarding teens with sex and sexually explicit messages, but this is not new. Sexual struggles date all the way back to Bible days. However, today teenagers struggle not simply with sex outside of marriage but many more complicated battles that risk destroying their soul. This session will address types of sexual struggles seen in teenagers, the basic causes behind the struggle and what we as leaders can do about it.
The Mom Ministry Connection: Girls ministry is more than just the teen girls that attend our Bible studies and slumber parties. Mothers play a huge role in their spiritual and emotional development. Join us as we share how moms and ministers can join togther in the fight in growing spiritually strong teen girls.
Raising a Tall, Venti, and Grande Generation: How do we raise a generation of leaders when we have no idea what they're talking about? iPod, iPad, iPhone, iHome, i...i....i....I have no idea! Come sit in on this session and let's figure out WHO these students are, HOW to reach them and WHERE YOU fit into the picture!
