As a parent, it can be overwhelming to sort through all of the activities and opportunities that are out there for your daughter. Girls' calendars are already packed full, so why should you make it a priority for your daughter to attend a SAGE conference?
To help you answer that question, we've put together some ministry values that better explain how we do what we do and why. If you're an old friend, then read on to find out more about "Rooted."
Since we have been providing community-wide girls' conferences for nearly ten years, we're no spring chickens in the world of youth events. Based on the many lessons we have learned in our many years of traveling, we've put together what we believe to be our best event yet. Our "Rooted" conferences are high-energy, two-day events packed with some of the best Bible teaching and worship available today. These events enable each of the girls who attend to have a "Choose Your Own Adventure" weekend in which they are able to customize their experiences with breakout sessions that meet their specific needs. Our conferences also feature intimate worship with an all-girl worship band, dynamic large group sessions with applicable messages, a fashion show, sponsor sessions, and an interactive talk show segment called The Meg Show.
As you probably know, we change our theme each year to ensure that returning attendees have a fresh and exciting experience year after year. Our theme for 2011 is "Rooted: Firmly Planted in God's Truth" based on Colossians 2:6-8 (NIV): "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, ROOTED and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ." Girls who attend will be challenged to plant deep spiritual roots to help them stand firm in a shaky world.
