One of the greatest things... we can do as a friend is offer a source of "accepting" accountability. Although these terms might seem contradictory, they really go together like a hand in a glove. For someone to truly open up, they must know their confession will be met with unconditional love and acceptance.

Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one [girl] sharpens another." When we develop godly friendships, we feel that we can be honest in a loving way that makes the other person better and vice versa.

Do you have an accountability partner? If not, start praying that the Lord would bring another girl into your life that will encourage you in your spiritual walk. If you do have an accountability partner, make sure you are making the most of this great opportunity. Meet at least once a week to share your successes and your struggles. You'll be blessed by the experience!
